“Fallon defended the ads in a news release, saying that Kavanaugh “has been credibly accused of sexual assault by multiple women whose allegations have not been thoroughly investigated.”
The transcript doesn’t do her justice….
“Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said Democratic freshman in Congress such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez “know” they have to hold the center as a party. Pelosi also told ’60 Minutes’ correspondent Lesley Stahl that she rejects socialism and “it is not the view of the Democratic party.”
“I do reject socialism as an economic system. If people have that view, that’s their view. That is not the view of the Democratic Party,” Pelosi told Lesley Stahl.”
CNN HOST: I’m interested in if you think your fellow Democrats and some of your Democratic contenders and competitors in this race for the White House have vilified big business in a way that is dangerous, and capitalism, when now we know more Democrats view socialism favorably than capitalism.
BUTTIGIEG: Well, I think the reason we’re having this argument over socialism and capitalism is that capitalism has let a lot of people down. I guess what I’m out there to say is that it doesn’t have to be so. I believe in Democratic capitalism. But the Democratic part is extremely important.
Huh… not even a smidgen…..
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) firmly rejected allegations of anti-Semitism leveled at a member of her party, insisting in an interview that there is “no taint” of anti-Semitism within the Democratic party.
Pelosi was interviewed by CNN’s Christiane Amanpour during her trip to Dublin, Ireland, and was asked about criticism of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her comments about Israel.
“I don’t think that the congresswoman is anti-Semitic, I wouldn’t even put those two in the same category,” Pelosi said on CNN.
“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+🇺🇸Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More,” she tweeted on Sunday, her style curiously similar to Trump’s own.
In her scorn for the proposal, Cher joins a chorus of Democratic lawmakers and progressive activists, like fellow Hollywood celebrity Alyssa Milano, who have already admonished Trump for what they see as an attempt at revenge on migrant-friendly cities, mostly governed by Democrats.
The liberal outrage, however, was met with derision from Trump supporters, who pointed out that having talked the talk, Democrats and their supporters should now walk the walk and welcome the masses of Central American migrants with open arms.
Cher’s tweet has likewise triggered a major backlash.
“Hello! Looks like you just woke up,” one wrote, and many jokingly welcomed her to the conservative side.
“Paul Kengor, a professor at Grove City College and an expert in communism and progressivism, said Buttigieg was among a group of leftist professors who focused on injecting Marxism into the wider culture.
“They’re part of a wider international community of Marxist theorists and academicians with a particular devotion to the writings of the late Italian Marxist theorist Antonio Gramsci, who died over 80 years ago. Gramsci was all about applying Marxist theory to culture and cultural institutions — what is often referred to as a ‘long march through the institutions,’ such as film, media, and especially education,” Kengor told the Washington Examiner.”
The 29-year-old bartender-turned-socialist politician slammed Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, for calling out her colleague, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., for a remark that disparaged the 9/11 terrorist attack that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.
Keep in mind that Crenshaw is a former Navy SEAL who fought in Afghanistan and lost an eye while in theater.
In responding to a tweet from Crenshaw denouncing the insensitive comment from Omar, one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, Ocasio-Cortez had the audacity — if not outright stupidity — to tell Crenshaw that he should “do something” about terrorism, while falsely claiming that the veteran misrepresented Omar’s insult and sharing distorted information about domestic terrorism to pivot away from it.
Julian Assange, the founder and editor of Wikileaks, released documents showing that the U.S. government was misleading the public about the war in Syria, and had in fact been looking to use transiting Islamists to stir up trouble for the democratically elected president, Bashar al-Assad, in order to weaken Syria, a foe of both Saudi Arabia and Israel.
But Democrats really turned on Assange after he released DNC emails just before the July 2016 Democratic National Convention that showed that the chairman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and top staffers were actively working to help Hillary Clinton and hurt insurgent Bernie Sanders, despite their public pronouncements that the DNC was remaining neutral during the primary.
New York lawmakers on Tuesday refused to advance a bill that would have provided free college tuition to the families of military personnel from the state who were killed in the line of duty.
The Assembly’s Higher Education Committee voted 15 to 11 to hold the bipartisan bill, effectively ending its chances of making it to a floor vote this session.
The move comes a week after lawmakers passed a $175 billion state budget that included $27 million to provide college tuition aid for undocumented immigrants.
