In the last 6 months, voter registration data for 190 million American voters have been stolen raising concerns that hackers can manipulate elections in the United States.
A concealed carry permit holder is ultimately carrying a handgun for safety–for his own safety and the safety of his loved ones should an evil or demented person attack. And in the split second when a normal day condenses down to a series of events that could mark one’s final day, the last thing he should have to worry about is whether the batteries in his gun are fresh or whether the signal his watch sends to activate the gun has been jammed.
If people understood just how weak, fragile, unreliable and dangerous so-called “smart guns” were, they’d never talk about them again.
Speaking of iPhones and government’s demands for back-doors…
Another potential obstacle is that gun makers might resist including trackable chips in their guns. And even if they did, it isn’t clear whether the ability to search for a gun via an app would be limited to law enforcement.
